Hampton Students Learn Healthy Teeth Habits

First graders at the in Mineola were literally all smiles recently as pediatric dentist Elizabeth Kitsos paid a visit to the class, teaching them how to properly brush their teeth and discuss better choices are to eat and drink to keep their teeth clean and healthy.

Students put on large tooth costumes as Dr. Kitsos demonstrated how to properly brush their teeth with a super sized toothbrush.

Each February, the American Dental Association sponsors National Children’s Dental Health Awareness Month to raise awareness about oral health. This is the third year that Dr. Kitsos has come to Hampton Street Elementary and volunteered her time to teach the students about the importance of oral health.
