Jackson Avenue Students Make Movies for MLK Jr. Day

Third graders use iPads to make movies in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Third-grade students at the Jackson Avenue School in the Mineola School District used their district-issued iPads to make movies in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Students were asked to conduct research on the peacemaker and then create an iMovie utilizing the pictures, speeches and background information that they gathered.

Students were required to write a few paragraphs on the icon and set their voice to the information so it played as a short movie.
