Mineola Board of Education Trustee-elect Patricia Navarra submitted the following letter.
A Letter to the Mineola Community,
Thank you, all, for your strong support of the 2013-14 budget. I am humbled and honored to have been elected as board of education trustee. Your engagement with our schools has made it a vibrant place to live and learn; your sustained engagement, of which there is no doubt, will be vital to our continued progress.
As my family is in the middle of high school graduation rituals, we are full of gratitude for the rich experiences Mineola schools provide. We are also grateful for the collaboration between homes and school, and within our neighborhood, that makes it so.
With your support, we can continue to develop our PK-12 educational programs while always respecting the taxpayers who built our beautiful community.
