Meadow Drive Students Hold Food Drive for Thanksgiving

Mineola students collect food for baskets that will benefit more than 20 families.

The Meadow Drive School in the Mineola Union Free School District recently sponsored a food drive to benefit local families for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Each class was asked to donate seasonal food items to create baskets that would enable families to truly celebrate a happy Thanksgiving.

As a result of the entire school community coming together, the student council was able to put together baskets that will benefit more than 20 families.
