VIDEO: Personalizing Learning on iPads in Mineola

Students use eSpark program to engage with lessons in middle school.

Mineola School Superintendent Dr. Michael Nagler recently participated in a video highlighting the district’s iPad initiative in the middle school, which has grown to include 600 students.

The initiative utilizes a personalized learning program called eSpark, where individual apps are created for children by taking their NWEA score, evaluating their strengths and weaknesses and creating an app to reinforce needed skills for that student.

The program can provide students with personalized instruction by varying the skill level of the activity each student completes on the device and help reinforce skills in which the student may need additional practice.

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
