Mineola Schools will receive a total of an estimated $26,253 in State Aid for the 2013-14 school year the Mineola Patch reports. At least the Patch posted the article! Over a week ago on Jan. 25 the Williston Times posted this headline: "Mineola eyes bond for capital needs." The subhead read: "Annual survey identifies $16 M in repairs and upgrades needed at district schools." I waited over a week to see this information in the Patch. It wasn't. One resason I read the Mineola Patch is to keep abreast of the happenings in the Mineola School District. Since school started in Sept. there has been very little on the operations and running of the schools in this district. I wonder why that would be? It seems to me that if the Wiliston Times can report that Superintendent Nagler recommended that the school board consider a bond issue to address a portion of the 16M, the Mineola Patch most certainly can make their readers aware.
