If you happen to be watching the 2013 Metropolitan Lacrosse Classic this afternoon, either at Citi Field or at home on ESPNU, you will definitely see some locally home-grown talent from Long Island on the four teams competing in the doubleheader – and most of them wore a Flyers uniform in high school.
There are 40 Long Island players in uniform, eight of them Chaminade High School graduates that will be competing Sunday, two from Colgate, two from Navy and four from Holy Cross. The only team without any Chaminade graduates on it is Michigan.
