Chaminade Lacrosse Edges Delbarton 6-5
Delbarton had two-goal leads three times in the first half, but Chaminade took the lead late in the second quarter.
The day started off promising for the Lacrosse team as they sprang ahead of the 3-1 in the first quarter in Morristown, NJ Saturday.
The second quarter would be their undoing as the Flyers outscored Delbarton 4-1, including a goal with 8 seconds left in the half.
Delbarton’s Peter McMullen tied the score in the third quarter, but late in the fourth, Chaminade tied it with a shot by Matthew Kavanaugh and pulled ahead with a goal from Shane Thornton for the 6-5 final.
