The Delbarton Green Wave lacrosse team was ranked No. 8 nationally by laxpower.com when they hosted the No. 4 ranked Flyers of Chaminade on Saturday.

Matthew Killian scored with 3.9 seconds left to give his Green Wave a 6-5 win over the Flyers.

“That was a moment I will never forget,” said Killian. “The ball started bouncing my way and I was lucky to get the ball at the end. I’ve got to credit our coach. We’ve been coming in and playing wall ball, which helps with our quick stick movements. That came in handy there at the end.”

Delbarton is now ranked No. 4 nationally and Chaminade is ranked No. 6. Delbarton is now 16-0 on the season and has a bye in the first round of the 2013 NJSIAA Tournament.
