Flyer Alumni Can't Help North Beat South in 2013 All-Star Lacrosse Game

Chaminade players Fowler, Dunne, Lukacovic and Zenker not enough to snap North losing streak.

TOWSON, MD – The South shall rise again. The 2013 All-Star squad extended their winning streak to three straight years in the eighth annual Under Armour All-America Classic this past weekend at Towson University's Johnny Unitas Stadium, beating the North 28-24.

Besides being notable for its telltale high-schoring – setting records in and of itself – the game featured the effort of four alumni of Chaminade High School: goalie Daniel Fowler, defender Brian Dunne, attacker Ryan Lukacovic and midfielder Tom Zenker.

Ten of the 22 overall players chosen from the North team were from Long Island.

In the game, Lukacovic had one goal, one assist and one ground ball while Dunne and Fowler each nabbed three grounders. Fowler played the first half of the game in net, causing one turnover and making 10 saves from 24 total shots in his 30 minutes of time but was charged with the loss.
