Mineola 10U Intramural Baseball Splits Back to Back Games

Mineola offense explodes vs. East Williston, but fall silent against Garden City.

On Sunday, October 16 the Mineola 10U intramural team hosted East Williston at the claiming a 15-6 victory.

The Mineola offense again put on a display with big hits by several Mineola players and almost every Mineola player reached base at least once.

The Mineola offense was led by Kenny Solosky (2-2 with a double, two RBI’s and two runs scored), as well as Jordan Sandler (2-2, 2 runs scored), Derek Lekhwani, Kevin Roach, Nick Librandi, David Escorcia, Patrick Lanigan and Josh Giron.

Ryan Burke, Tommy Curry, Brendan Mulrooney, Isiah Roman and Joey Boshans made impressive defensive displays at their positions.

Making his pitching debut was Jimmy Tighe, turning in two innings of relief for Mineola.

The next day, the Mineola team hosted the Garden City Fire and were soundly defeated 11-1. This time the Mineola bats fell silent, the pitchers unable to command the plate and the defense committed several critical errors while the Garden City pitching kept the Mineola hitters off-balance.

The lone Mineola run came off a Jordan Sandler double.
