Mineola Native Athan Named to Skyline Conference Honors Again
Marisa Athan earns second conference honor roll of freshman year.
Mineola native Marisa Athan is one of two SUNY Maritime players who have been named to the league honor roll for the seventh week of the women's soccer 2013 season.
The Bronx-based school also is represented by senior Jorrie Trenkame of Tabernacle, NJ.
Athan was previously named to the Skyline Honor Roll this season in the second week of the season. During week seven, the SUNY freshman had a goal and an assist against Purchase on Sept. 18, and an assist on Sept. 20 against Old Westbury. Athan currently has three goals and three assists in the season, placing her in a tie for second on the team with 9 points on the year.
Athan scored her first two goals of her collegiate career in a 3-0 shutout over the Lehman Lightning.
