Mineola Soccer Players Earn Awards for 2013 Season

Kellenberg students Connor Smith and Shannon Kelly take home most improved, commitment awards.

Two students from Mineola who attend Kellenberg Memorial High School in Uniondale recently took home awards for the 2013 fall sports season.

Mineola resident and Kellenberg junior Connor Smith was awarded the most improved player award for the Kellenberg Boys Varsity Soccer team.

Each season the coaches of all of the Kellenberg teams choose one athlete who stands out as an athlete that has worked hard to improve themselves in their chosen sport. Smith‘s effort over the course of the boys varsity soccer season has set him apart as an athlete worthy of recognition for his improvement.

Mineola resident and Kellenberg senior Shannon Kelly has been awarded the Kellenberg Girls Varsity Soccer Commitment Award for their outstanding effort and devotion to the girls varsity soccer team.

Each season coaches of Kellenberg sports pick one player from their team who has demonstrated remarkable commitment to the team through their hard work and actions at practice and in competition. Kelly has earned the commitment award through her hard work and dedication to the team.
