Chaminade won their first varsity football title in 14 years on Dec. 1, 2012, doing it in stunning fashion against arch-rival St. Anthony’s.
The game was an instant classic, showcasing a number of key plays from a fourth-quarter stop from the defense led by John McDaid, a 33-yard fieldgoal from Zane Wasp to put the Flyers ahead and a blocked field goal from Daniel Fowler to secure the 17-16 win.
