If you're looking to get in shape, consider taking new fitness classes through the Town of North Hempstead.

You'll have a choice of  boot camp and personal training classes this summer in conjunction with Ultimate Performance and Fitness through programs in parks in Roslyn and New Hyde Park.

The boot camp classes will feature a total body workout including calisthenics, battling ropes, TRX suspension training, and agility drills.  Participants are asked to bring a towel and water.  Class sessions are already underway at Gerry Pond Park and Michael J. Tully Park on Saturday and Sunday from 9-10 a.m.

Classes at Gerry Pond Park are outdoors, and the classes at Michael J. Tully will be held indoors in the fitness center.

Single classes are available at a cost of $25 for residents and $30 for non-residents.  Classes can also be purchased in bulk at a discounted rate, 10 classes for residents at the cost of $200 and $240 for non-residents.

Personal Training classes will be offered at Michael J. Tully Park by appointment only.  There will be two options available.
