Court Officers Present Thanksgiving Check to INN

Fraternal Order of Court Officers donates $1,000 in response to shortage of food donations.

In response to a shortage of food donated to area soup kitchens leading into Thanksgiving, the Fraternal Order of Court Officers of New York State presented a check for $1,000 to Jean Kelly, Director of The Interfaith Nutrition Network.

The INN runs 19 soup kitchens and provides emergency housing for individuals in the Long Island area. The current economic downturn has resulted in greater need for food, as it is estimated that 110,000 children on Long Island face hunger every day.

The donation was made possible through candy sales by C.O. Mike Riveiro and the generosity of court personnel in Nassau District Court.

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
