Village Board and Gettysburg Address This Week

Some of the happenings in Mineola this week.

Mineola Village Board Meeting
The Mineola Village Board will hold their regular meeting on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. at the village hall.

150th Anniversary of President Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address

The Mineola Memorial Library is hosting a special event on Tuesday at 12 p.m. to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address. Special guest “Lincoln Presenter,” Bob Costello, will reenact Lincoln’s speech on the front lawn of the Library.  Following the speech all residents are welcome to enjoy light refreshments in the Library. At 1 p.m. Mr. Costello will give a one hour presentation on the Gettysburg Address and Lincoln’s life.

The Mineola Library will be showing "Kon-Tiki" starring Anders Baasmo Christiansen on Thursday night from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
