A pair of seasonal wreathes adorn the front of Mineola's First Presbyterian Church, which was built in 1955. The church maintains a traditional look with a brick facade and slate steps in the front as well as the noble impression of a four-column colonnades. The church is dominated by several trees which have grown to hide some of the structure as well as a six-storey municipal parking garage to the South. The church offers its own version of child care via the "Little People Academy," just North of the church's main entrance. This special school caters to children of nursery age to pre-school. A "Mommy & Me" program is also available. A small playground is also located behind the main church. In addition to traditional Sunday service, vacation Bible schools are offered every summer.
