Mineola High School

<p>Actually located in Garden City Park, Mineola High School occupies several acres of land between Washington Avenue and Armstrong Road. The three-story building is a conventional high school, home to grades eight through 12.</p> <p>A large field dominates the area of the property near Country Courthouse Road, where baseball games are known to attract a large number of spectators.  The school also boasts its own six-lane track and soccer and lacrosse fields.</p> <p>Notable alumni include U.S. Congressman Steven Boghos Derounian, U.S. Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy, NY State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, composer Stephen Schwartz, professional soccer player Manny Matos and actor Haywood Nelson.</p>
