Village of Mineola Swimming Pool
230 Liberty Ave, Mineola, NY 11501

The Mineola pool, part of the recreation complex at the end of Liberty Avenue, first opened in 1961 and was renovatedMore in 1997. One of the most popular additions was a slide at the deep end. The pool ranges in depth from three feet at the shallowest to ten feet at the deep end near the slide and diving board. It also features dividers for swimming lanes and a separate kiddie pool. Locker rooms complete with showers are also located on-site. A total of six lifeguard chairs surround the main pool.

Since the pool is on the Village tax rolls, the cost of a pass for the whole season is reasonable. Those who register before the May 15 deadline only pay $5 per person for the season. Those who register after the May 15 deadline pay $8 for a season pass. Children age 3 and under are admitted free. Each resident holding a Leisure Pass may bring up to two guests to the pool. Guest admission for the day is $7 for an adult and $5 for a child, payable at the gate. No bills larger than $20 are accepted. Personal checks are also accepted as payment.

The surrounding Wilson Park complex also includes a roller hockey rink, a baseball field, little league field, two tennis courts, a basketball court, soccer field and a small shuffleboard court. A snack bar is also located outside the main gates of the pool.

Three parking lots are available; the first is the Wilson Park Field lot on Union Street, another one on Westbury Avenue near State Place, and a third on Liberty Avenue is closest to the entrance. The pool opens for the season the Saturday before Father's Day and closes the day after Labor Day.
