Stretching a full block from Jackson Avenue to Garfield Avenue, along Marcellus Road, Memorial Park garnered its name…More from the dedication of a monument in the center of the park to those soldiers fallen in World War I. A second plaque was added later to honor all of those who had served and perished in all American wars and military actions since the Revolution. Another monument was erected just to the south, dedicated to those who died on September 11, 2001.
The park features a number of amenities, including two playgrounds, swings, two pairs of tennis courts, gaming tables, a shower and spray pool, picnic tables, benches and a gazebo, which was a feature when the park was originally dedicated in 1932.
