Tucked away in the corner of a nondescript 1st Street office building, the New York College of Traditional…More Chinese Medicine (NYCTCM) was founded in 1996 by Dr. Chi Chow with an emphasis on Chinese acupuncture and herbology. The school offers a three-year Master's program in acupuncture and a four-year Master's program in Oriental Medicine (acupuncture and herbology).
The school accepts both new and transfer students at the beginning of each trimester in September, January and May; prerequisities include at least 60 college credits and English proficiency.
Classes are held primarily on weekends with flexible scheduling available. The school also houses a full treatment and teaching clinic that receives patients and allows students to practice under the guidance of instructors.
NYCTCM also features a branch campus in Manhattan, at which fifty percent of the program can be completed.
