Jacquelyn Gover, Hofstra, Neighbor

Jacquelyn, a junior at Hofstra University, is an aspiring professional journalist pursuing a BA in broadcast journalism. She is a current member of 88.7FM WRHU, Hofstra&#39;s student-operated radio station, as well as a contributor to <i>Nassau News Live</i>.  As she begins her career in reporting, Jacquelyn is eager to focus on the local affairs of communities and to inform their residents of everything that is important to them, from high school sports to town board meetings. 

Jacquelyn is a firm believer in the power of social media and citizen journalism, and she plans to use those concepts to report on what really matters to the public; relevance and truth have always been the foundations of her writing.  She is also pursuing a double-minor in Italian and English, and hopes to someday publish her own novel.
