Senator Jack M. Martins, Neighbor

I have the honor of representing the 7th Senate District, which inludes, among other areas, New Hyde Park, Mineola and Port Washington. Prior to sworn into office in January 2011, I served as the Mayor of the Village of Mineola for eight years.

I believe we need to bring tax relief to our communities. I also believe strongly in the concept of local government. In the Senate, I am chairman of the Standing Committee on Local Government.
