Police Break Up 50-Person Fight Outside Mineola Nightclub

Garden City Police have arrested two men who were allegedly involved in a large fight outside the nightclub and lounge in Mineola last Tuesday morning.

According to the , at about 2:30 a.m. on June 12, an officer was on routine patrol on Old Country Road when he observed about 50 people involved in a fight in front of the establishment on the Mineola side of the street.

The officer called for assistance and several other units from both the Garden City and arrived on the scene to help disperse the crowd.

The two men – aged 22 and 18 from Garden City – were ordered to stop by officers and refused and were subsequently arrested. While they were being arrested marijuana was found in their possession. The two men are being charged with disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana.

The Garden City Police Department does not release names of arrestees or mugshots.
