Lacrosse Game to Help Honor Fallen Chaminade Grad, Army Rangers

A portion of all tickets sold will be donated to support fallen, disable Army Rangers.

The Long Island Lizards will be hosing a charity lacrosse game next week to raise funds for disabled Army veterans and the families of those who have perished, been injured or are currently serving in harm’s way.

Inspired by a fallen Army Ranger James. J. Regan, who was killed in Iraq while deployed as a member of Charlie company, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, a portion of all ticket sales purchased online for the August 13 game will be donated to The Lead The Way Fund.

The Manhasset-based foundation was formed after the death of Regan, who played lacrosse during his time at and Duke University.

The event features several lacrosse games between teams from the FDNY, NYPD, Nassau/Suffolk/Port Authority PD with a headliner of Lizards versus the Nationals.

Additionally, Long Beach native and Network Recording Artist Joe Horowitz will be singing his original song “Lead the Way,” which he wrote as a tribute to Jimmy Regan. All proceeds from the song bought on iTunes go to The Lead The Way Fund.
