New Portuguese Social Group Reunites Portuguese-American Scouts

A new social group based out of the Alheirense Cultural Center in Mineola looks to "re-live" the good-old scouting days. The group is called "Reviver o Escutismo" or literaly Reliving Scouting and has already connected almost fifty former scouts who are or whose families were Portuguese-Americans. This year the group has already gone camping upstate in April and held a bicycle run in June.
