This week in Snapshots: Billy Crystal Comes Home… Again!

Billy Crystal, Janice Crystal, Billy's brother's, Nancy Leibman, Governor Andrew Cuomo were all at the rec center this morning to dedicate a new basketball court. You could see Billy's love for his hometown. It was in words and in his actions. He's still a Long Beacher at heart. It was also wonderful to see support from Governor Cuomo. 4th Annual Evelyn Knapp "Run to Remember"

Panthers Roll Through Mercy in NCAA First Round Action, 5-0

The women's soccer defeated the Mavericks of Mercy College in the first round of the NCAA Tournament earlier this afternoon by a convincing 5-0 score. With the win, the fourth seeded Brown and Gold extend their season and advance to take on the top seeded hosts, the College of Saint Rose on Sunday at noon. Click here to read the full post.

Adelphi Men's Basketball Drops Season Opener to Dowling

The men's basketball team suffered their first loss of the season to Dowling College earlier this evening in a non-conference contest.  Despite three players in double figures, the Golden Lions surged in the second to overcome an 18 point deficit and serve the Panthers the 72-65 loss. In defeat, the Brown and Gold slip to 0-1 while Dowling moves to 3-0. Click here to read the full post.
