Corpus Christi Celebrates 110 Years
Mineola parish holds huge anniversary gala at Floral Terrace in Floral Park.
Parishioners from recently celebrated the 110th anniversary of the church’s founding, gathering at the Floral Terrace in Floral Park for a gala event on October 21.
A total of 255 parishioners out of the 3,800 family parish came out for the fully-catered evening which was just one of the events in the parish’s year-long celebration, which also included Bishop John Dunne celebrating a special mass for trustees Mary Anne Iaquinto and Antonio Martins.
Before the beginning of dinner-dance, Msgr. Robert Coyle welcomed and thanked all the guests, calling the evening “a night of celebration and joy” for the parish and leading the congregation in a pre-meal prayer of thanksgiving.

Event organizer Anne Marie Jankay also thanked Mary Brennan and many other volunteers who helped put on the event.
Following another round of dancing a representative from County Clerk Maureen O’Connell’s office presented plaques to Msgr. Coyle in recognition of the parish’s anniversary.
