While the library will have many more younger participants in craft events, workers like to hold some for older children to keep them engaged as well.

Each of the eight children attending the event received a package containing a bag of cotton and two football shaped fleece panels. Even though the gift was for dad, it didn’t mean the children couldn’t have fun. Once many of the pillows were completed, several of the children started tossing the pillows around like they were in the park. Each compared their finished product and hoped that their fathers would enjoy them as well.

“I think it’s a really awesome gift for Father’s Day,” said Giovanny Rodriguez, believing his dad would like the unique present.

Andrew Sandobal had the same idea.

“I think this would be the best Father’s Day gift ever,” he said.
