Mineola PTAs Announce 2012-13 Children’s Cultural Arts Series

Three shows at Mineola High School scheduled including dog show, Christmas Carol and puppetry.

The Mineola District Council of PTAs and the Mineola Public Schools announce the “Children’s Cultural Arts Series” for 2012 – 2013.

The program consists of three shows that will delight audiences and ones that you will not want to miss:

  • The first performance, “Muttville Comix Comedy Dog Show,” presents professional clown, Johnny Peers, and his 15 dogs who will perform a variety of hilarious tricks. Get ready to howl! This show is on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Mineola High School Theatre.
  • The second show, “A Christmas Carol Children's Musical,” is on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 at 2 p.m. Plaza Theatrical Productions presents a fully staged family show based on the classic holiday story by Charles Dickens.
  • Last but certainly not least, is the third show, “Caps for Sale and Three Billy Goats Gruff.” These two well-loved stories are brought to life in a large-scale puppetry and mask production by Hudson Vagabond Puppets.   This performance is on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at 2 p.m.

Subscribe to all three shows for only $12 or you may purchase tickets for an individual show at $5 per show. You may purchase tickets at the door or may reserve your tickets in advance by submitting your requests with payment and telephone contact information no later than November 1 to District Council Cultural Arts, c/o Debbie Tobar, 12 Croyden Road, Mineola, NY 11501.

Checks should be written out to District Council Cultural Arts. You may then pick up your tickets at the box office before the show. Children under age three and adults are free. Adults must remain with children during the shows. Any questions, contact Debbie Tobar at 516-214-4456.

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
