Mineola Resident Named to Family & Children’s Association Board

Mineola resident Janet Henriquez-Marcic is also director of Brooklyn-based non-profit.

A Mineola resident has been named to the board of the Mineola-based Family & Children’s Association.

Janet Henriquez-Marcic is the executive director of Brooklyn-based Maura Clarke-Ita Ford Center that assists immigrants, primarily Spanish-speaking women, in creating opportunities for a brighter future for themselves and their families.

“We’re delighted to welcome Ms. Henriquez-Marcic to our board and look forward to working with her on behalf of Long Island’s neediest children and families,” Family & Children’s Association CEO Philip M. Mickulas said in a statement. “Ms. Henriquez-Marcic’s experience combined with her extensive community service activities with organizations such as Catholic Migration Services makes her an outstanding addition to the Family & Children’s Association board.”

Prior to joining the Maura Clarke-Ita Ford Center, Henriquez-Marcic was the director of business and professional services for the Rockaway Development and Revitalization Corporation; Director of Outreach, Business Assistance for the New York City Department of Small Business Services and Director of Client Services, Corporate Recruitment for New York City Economic Development Corporation.  She received a bachelor of arts degree from The University of Stony Brook.
