MJFD Trip to Germany Day 7: Zoo Tour
Day seven of the Mineola Junior Firefighters' 2011 trip to Germany.
On the seventh day of their as part of an exchange program with the Hamburg-Stellingen Junior Fire Department, the Mineola Junior Firefighters went a bit wild – figuratively speaking.
The juniors travelled to the Hagenbeck Zoo and paid a visit to a friendly pachyderm who helped the group out with a group photo and some flag waving.
The second half of the day was taken up with “Family Day.” Each of the Juniors paid a visit to the homes of each member from the Hamburg-Stellingen Juniors to have dinner and get to know their hosts a little better.
