Nightlife in Mineola This Weekend

All the hot spots to check out the weekend of September 9 to 11 in Mineola.

After a long, hard week at work you deserve some fun. Concerts, contests and entertainment, we’ve got you covered when it comes to nightlife in the village. Let us be your guide to all the fun in town for all the hottest spots to check out this weekend in Mineola. Every Friday, we’ll be running down the hottest spots in Mineola to plan your weekend.

Concerts

If you head over to this weekend you will be able to listen to King Penguin on Friday night, and Rock Candy on Saturday. Both bands will begin performing at 9 p.m.

This weekend, the NYCB Theatre at Westbury will be host to a couple of shows. On Friday night at 8 p.m. Dave Mason, a former member of the classic rock band Traffic, will take the stage at the venue. If you want to see a guy who can play a mean fiddel, on Saturday at 8 p.m. you will get that chance. The Charlie Daniels Band will be performing.

In the all-too-real scenario of the movie “Contagion,” starring Matt Damon, a plague-like virus breaks out as humanity races to find a cure.

“Warrior” will hit theaters this Friday. In the movie two brothers trying to make it in the MMA world eventually find themselves on a collision course to face each other. 

Nick Swardson will be hitting the silver screen this weekend in “Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star.” In the film he plays a small town guy who heads to LA after he finds out his conservative parents were actually adult film stars.

Happy Hours

Murphy’s Happy Hour which runs Monday through Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Wings are 25 cents each and domestic bottles are $3 apiece. If you can’t make it to Happy Hour, karaoke night starts at 9 p.m. every Saturday.

O’Donnell’s is open for happy hour from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. with $3 domestic bottles available along with a discount of $2 on cocktails this weekend.
