Patch Picks: Fall Back on Reading

Here are a few suggestions of what's in season for your fall reading list.

Reading lovers can attest that it’s very easy to get lost in a book; the trick is it has to be good. With school back in session, the fall can be a great time to catch up on pages of an old book or pick out a new read. There are even a number of works for both children and adults written specifically about the fall season.

If you are in need of a suggestion try reading something in season. Patch stopped by to speak with the librarians about their five picks for fall.

The October Horse,” by Colleen McCullough

Though being the last in a six book series, reading the other five prior to beginning this novel is not a prerequisite. Each of the stories in the series takes place during the fall of the Roman Republic.

Drums of Autumn,” by Diana Gabaldon

Mineola Librarian Mary Parker added this novel to the suggested fall reading list as it is one of her favorites. The book is part of a series from Gabaldon, taking place prior to the American Revolutionary War.
