Rolling Stone 'Glorified' Suspect, Say Residents

Many say Boston Marathon bombing suspect looked like a rock star on magazine cover.

Long Islanders expressed outrage at the use of a photo of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the Boston Marathon bombing suspect, on the cover of Rolling Stone. Many said the cover glorified a killer, and backed the decision of such stores as Stop & Shop, CVS and Walgreen's, not to sell the magazine.

"I feel the was it is presented on Rolling Stone it glorifies him and the terror he caused! So yes I agree 100% with retailers that do not sell this issue and I think more should follow suit!," said Amy Hodgdon Levine on the Mineola Patch Facebook page.

"Yes we have freedom of speech and press but u wish a little more heart and sensitivity was used. They should have hero's on their cover or music people,"
wrote Angela Spinelli Parente.
