Red Cross to Hold Halloween Safety Party

The American Red Cross believes that the trick to having a fun Halloween is knowing how to remain safe. To help children learn about safety, the Long Island Red Cross will open its doors in Mineola for a Halloween Safety Party on Friday, October 28.

Children between the ages of three and 11 are invited to participate in the event which will include carnival style games and a haunted house. More importantly, they will learn what to do if a friend is choking, what to do if approached by a stranger, and other ways to remain safe while trick or treating.

Children are encouraged to wear costumes; however, they are to be non-violent with no weapons, nor full-face masks. Admission is free but attendees must register in advance.
