Friendly’s Kicks Off Annual Cones for Kids Drive

Donations to benefit Easter Seals and adults and children with disabilities.

J&B Restaurant Partners, the franchisee of Friendly’s Long Island, launched its Annual Cones for Kids campaign this winter to benefit Easter Seals and those living with disabilities and special needs.

Over the past 10 years, Long Island and Hudson Valley New York Friendly’s guests have donated more than $1 million to Easter Seals New York.

The Cones for Kids campaign will run from now through Feb. 28 and coupons are valid beginning March 1. Each restaurant guest who makes a $5 donation to Easter Seals New York will receive a coupon book including 6 coupons, a $33 value.

“We look forward each year to partner with Easter Seals New York for our Cones for Kids campaign. It is a wonderful opportunity to bring our employees and guests together to help serve those in ourcommunity with disabilities and special needs,” J&B Restaurant Partners CEO Joe Vitrano said in a statement.

All proceeds from the Cones for Kids initiative go towards supporting programs in New York. J&B Restaurant Partners Child Development Center in Sayville, NY, established in the spring of 2012, will provide pre-school students with high-quality early education services in a caring and safe environment. The opening of this center is the culmination of years of support from restaurant guests, Friendly’s employees, donors of Easter SealsNew York and the tireless commitment of the board members.

“J&B Restaurant Partners continue to change the lives of thousands of individuals with disabilities through their Cones for Kids initiative and assist us in providing services to children and adults whoseneeds had previously gone unmet,” commented John W. McGrath, Executive Director of Easter Seals New York. “Their generosity and altruism is truly remarkable and Easter Seals New York is incredibly grateful to have friends and supporters like J&B Restaurant Partners.”

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
