Long Island Software Technology Network Moves to Mineola

Former Hauppauge company now taking space at LaunchPad Long Island.

The Long Island Software Technology Network is moving their headquarters to Mineola, taking up residence in the space operated by business incubator LaunchPad Long Island, according to a Newsday report.

The company was originally based in the LI Tech Mall in Hauppauge. A start-up accelerator program called COMETS has also moved into the LaunchPad offices.

"When I first started [COMETS], I said... let's get it off the ground instead of talking about it," LISTnet president Peter Goldsmith said in the report. "We’ve learned, and we’re now going to work on it."

The offices of LaunchPad at 55 Mineola Blvd. have also reportedly filled up with companies after three months, as all 12 offices on the second floor all being leased to about two-dozen individuals according to LaunchPad co-founder Andrew Hazen, who plans to build more offices due to demand.
