It's the case of the disappearing sign. Murphy's Bar & Grill no longer bears its distinctive maroon color scheme atop its doors, eschewing it for a battleship-grey color.
Also having disappeared is the signature script that identified the Mineola landmark to everyone passing along Old Country Road.
