Feb. 17: Basketball, Hockey and Nightlife

Week’s done, and only a few more hours until that glorious weekend. We know that you mind’s not even on work right now. Don’t’ fret, we have everything you need to plan your weekend right here, both in our weekend guide and also for all you sports nuts.

Here’s what else you need to know:

1. The Mineola Boys basketball team will host Wantagh this afternoon as they open their playoffs at home. The big bleacher section will be open so come on down to Mineola High School for the 6:45 p.m. tip off!

3. The Chaminade varsity hockey team will look for a win against St. Joseph by the Sea in a deciding game 3 in the semi-finals of the CHSAA playoffs. The puck drops especially late tonight at 10 p.m. up in Rye.
