Nassau Community College Breast Cancer Awareness Expo & Walk

Meet in front of the Physical Education Complex.

The one-mile walk—which is open to the public and has a suggested donation of $5—is sponsored by the Design Innovators Club; the Intramural Well-Being Programs; the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Department; and the Cure for Cancer Club. Its 11:30 a.m. expo features T-shirts and refreshments. The walk itself begins at 12:00 noon. Profits from the event will be donated to Mid-Nassau Lend a Helping Hand, Inc. (LAHH). The focus of LAHH is to provide customized services to patients to relieve some of the stress and worry a cancer diagnosis and ensuing treatment creates. Among those services are reimbursements for childcare, housecleaning, meal preparation, emergency financial assistance and massage therapy.
