Mineola Hurricanes 12U start Fall Season
Back from Cooperstown the 12U Mineola Hurricanes were eager to start the fall 2013 NJBL season.
They opened up against the Nassau Knights in Grant Park on Sat Sept 7.
The Hurricanes picked up right where they left off in Cooperstown by sweeping the double header against the Knights once again with great pitching, fielding and clutch hitting.

Hurricane pitching was outstanding not allowing a run in both games winning the first game 3-0 and the second one by a score of 6-0.
In week 2 they faced off against the Yorkville Eagles from Manhattan After jumping off to a quick 2-0 lead the Hurricanes allowed the first run of the season against them in the top of the 4th inning. The Hurricanes responded by scoring another run of their own to take a 3-1 lead into the top of the 6th inning. The eagles scored 4 runs in the top of the 6th to take a 5-3 lead. The Hurricanes rallied in the bottom of the 6th but fell short by a score of 5-4.

The Hurricanes responded in the second game by pounding the Yorkville Eagles by a score of 11-1 highlighted by Anthony Tramonte hitting 2 run homeruns in both the 4th and 5th innings.
