Roger Castro, 20, Car Accident Victim

Mineola resident died after losing control of car on Jan. 5, 2013.

Roger Castro, a resident of Mineola, Long Island, died on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 at the age of 20.

Castro reportedly lost control of his car and spun off the road while driving down Great Neck Road in North Amityville around 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 5, 2013. The car hit a vacant house then crashed into another house which was occupied. Castro was pronounced dead at the scene while a 15-year-old male passenger was taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition.

He is survived by his parents, Amado Castro and Maria Manzanares, and his brother, Daniel. He also leaves behind so many cherished family and friends.

Family and friends will gather at the D’Andrea Bros. Funeral Home in Copaigue on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and then on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 and 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

On Friday, all will gather at the funeral home for a prayer service, and then interment will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale.

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
