Crimes Nearby: Burn Victim, Offline Robbery and Bank Robber Sought

A 23-year old student from Commack was arrested on November 16 for harassment for an incident that occurred on Nov. 7 where he reportedly pushed another student against a wall during a class

A resident’s identity was used without authorization to illegally remove more than $8,000 from a bank account on November 18.

A 19-year old Hempstead man was reportedly robbed on Meadow Street when he was set to meet a person he met online to sell his sneakers. He states that when he arrived on Meadow Street, he was approached by a male subject, 17-20 years old, wearing a black hooded jacket and black sweat pants, who simulated a handgun under his jacket and demanded a duffle bag containing the sneakers.

Nassau County Police are still searching for the man who on Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead on Nov. 14.

According to police, just eight days later on Nov. 22, the same man robbed the Roslyn Savings Bank on S. Main Street in Freeport.
