Crimes Nearby: Gunpoint Drug Robbery, Car Crash and Loud Party

Albertson

Two people including an 73-year old woman were aided when a car struck a tree at 820 Willis Ave. in Albertson at 12:03 a.m. on Oct. 26. Both people were transported to by a trauma team.

New Hyde Park

Two people were that was facilitated by a Garden City Park woman on Sunday at 11:55 p.m. in Garden City Park, according to a police report. Two women from Albertson and a third from Garde City Park were robbed at gunpoint by three Bronx men and a fourth from Yonkers when they met for drugs. The men took money as well as a pound of marijuana before fleeing the scene. The car the four men drove off in was pulled over near Jericho Turnpike and South 5th Street in New Hyde Park and the four were arrested.

Police report an attempted burglary at a Maple Street residence on October 21. The police department was alerted that a burglary alarm was activated at the residence. Upon arrival officers observed a pried open first floor window, determining that there was no apparent entry into the residence and that the alarm activation apparently caused the perpetrator to leave the area.

Officers responded to the on October 23 for multiple calls of fights and noise complaints. It was determined that there was a large party at that location. As a result of their investigation, a male 29-year-old from Westbury was issued an appearance ticket for violation of the village noise ordinance.

Malverne-West Hempstead

A 21-year-old man near Cedar Street in West Hempstead early Tuesday morning.
