Williston Park

A car overturned on Willis Avenue on November 3 at 10:27 a.m. No person was pinned within or by the vehicle.

Westbury

Approximately 50 gallons of diesel fuel spilled onto Merrick Avenue and Old Country Road in Westbury on November 1 at about 9:43 p.m. A hazmat team from Nassau County responded to the scene.

A 2008 BMW valued at $45,000 was reported stolen from a Garden City parking lot on October 26.

Garden City police responded to a domestic incident at a residence on October 27 and determined that one brother had placed another brother in a choke hold restricting his breathing. After a brief investigation the subject, a male 21-year-old, was arrested at Nassau Community College for criminal obstruction of breathing.

A Nassau County police sergeant alerted the Garden City Police Department of a dangerous situation where a male was sleeping in his auto on Old Country Road with the engine still running. The subject, a male 32-year-old from Glen Cove, was awakened and placed under arrest for DWI.

Malverne-West Hempstead

Nassau County Police Thursday afternoon who they say was involved in five burglaries in Lakeview. He was consorting with three others, who have not yet been arrested. 

Three between October 27 and November 1. Four manhole covers were stolen from locations on Hempstead Avenue in West Hempstead on October 30.
