Fire Blotter: Ex-Chief’s Home, Bank of America and Plum Tomatoes
Mineola firefighters responded to the following calls October 6-12.
The following information was supplied by the Mineola Fire Department. A call does not necessarily indicate that a fire actually took place, only that an alarm or call for assistance was made.
October 6: 11:41 a.m. – 17 Weybridge Road

- 12:29 p.m. – 178 Second St.
- 5:43 p.m. – Clinton Avenue and Elm Place – spill from a single car motor vehicle accident. A red car was reportedly traveling westbound on Clinton Avenue when it hit a support utility pole at the corner of Elm Place. At least one person (possibly 2) were transported to Winthrop University Hospital.
October 8
- 3:15 p.m. – 372 Mineola Blvd.
- 5:37 p.m. – 330 East Jericho Turnpike (North Shore Farms)
- 9:45 p.m. – 220 Frank Ave. – rubbish fire
