Mineola Kitchen and Bath Store Robbed

Police report that Willis Avenue business was robbed Monday morning shortly after opening.

Detectives from the are investigating a robbery of a kitchen and bath store in Mineola that took place Monday.

According to police, the Convenient Kitchen and Bath located at 321 Willis Avenue was robbed at 11:35 a.m. this morning just after it opened.

A white male suspect entered the store, displayed a black handgun and demanded cash from the 65 year old male victim. The suspect is described as 5’10 to 6’0” tall, approximately 200 lbs, clean shaven, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark sunglasses.

The suspect removed an unknown amount of U.S. currency from the victim’s wallet along with his gold ring before taping the victim to a chair and fleeing on foot in an unknown direction, police report.

Additional proceeds removed from the premises included a computer monitor, a computer tower, a laptop and computer programs. The victim freed himself and called police. There were no injuries reported.
