Nassau County Police to Hold Car Auction Sept. 21

Vehicles are forfeitures from DWI and criminal offenders.

Sixty vehicles seized by the and other police agencies and forfeited through the efforts of the will be auctioned off to the highest bidder on Wednesday, September 21 at the Nassau County Police Impound Yard located at the former Grumman property in Bethpage at 999 South Oyster Bay Road.

The auction includes:

  • A 1987 Chevy Camaro
  • A 1999 Mercedes E320
  • A 1997 Cadillac STS
  • A 1995 Pontiac Firebird
  • A 1994 Ford Mustang
  • A 1997 BMW 328Ci
  • A 2006 Porsche Cayenne
  • A 2001 Eton motorcycle

The auction is being run by Auctions International. Proceeds from the auction will go to both the state and county and is used for restitution to victims, anti drug efforts and crime-reduction programs.

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
